🐉 About the design 🐉 

The theme for Nololita 2024 Spring/Summer collection revolves around dragons, drawing inspiration from ceremonial robes. The aim is to incorporate the dignified silhouette of ceremonial robes, using them as a prototype. The design blends this formal structure with dragon motifs inherent in the robes, creating a unique fusion that embodies the Nololita style with a touch of Chinese influence.

In the "Blue Blood OP" design, traditional elements like the "Right Social Collar" and "Collar and Sleeve Hem Binding" are retained. The pattern includes consistent shapes like the "Large Sleeves," while integrating elements like the "Large Belt" and "Leather Belt" into the apron, forming a cohesive ensemble. The lower skirt incorporates elements of the "Horse Face Skirt," adding a distinctive touch to the overall look.

The off-shoulder design draws inspiration from the somewhat fictionalized "Chinese Empress," while the cinched waist and flared hem maintain the classic "Rococo" cake-like feel consistently seen in Nololita designs.

Fabric of the OP dress : Purposefully avoiding traditional fabrics commonly associated with dragon motifs, such as brocade and silk, we opted for a textured material resembling dragon scales.

Accessories: Selecting non-traditional modern elements to complement the main design, including prints mimicking the splattering of blue blood, sparkling icy rhinestones, handcrafted romantic lace on cuffs and collar, and modern metal zippers with silver braided cord.

Dragon Pattern: In the "Blue Blood OP" pattern, we strive to preserve the traditional twelve-chapter pattern of ceremonial robes to respect the heritage. However, we innovatively altered the dragon pattern, incorporating a more abstract style. The dragon's body intertwines traditional elements like the twelve chapters with modern symbols such as stars, crosses, and bubbles. The surrounding imagery no longer features auspicious clouds but rather varying shades of intense yet icy blue bloodstains.

Dragon Distribution: Traditionally, dragon motifs, crucial to ceremonial robes, symmetrically distribute across the shoulders, chest, and sleeves. In "Blue Blood OP," we break and rearrange the dragon pattern, starting from the left shoulder, piercing through the chest, and extending to the right sleeve. The fragmented dragon pattern, juxtaposed with the splattered blue blood print, embodies the imagery we aim to convey—icy yet intense, akin to the blood of a dragon.
