During this period, I not only visited QHANAOU Breaktime, the embossing studio owned by Master Yingzi, but also discovered lace made from handcrafted bones in a century-old French factory. Seeing these top-notch craftsmanship techniques that date back to the 14th century, most of which have been replaced by machinery (such as mass-produced lace on assembly lines), it's rare to find individuals who truly understand these crafts, and there's even a risk of their potential disappearance. Witnessing how the teachers tirelessly strive to bring more attention to this craft, I truly wish I could contribute in some way. Three years ago, I coincidentally came across the art of embossing, and since then, my designs have often incorporated its presence. One of my small hopes is to let more people know that embossing is not just decoration; it can serve as an accessory or even become an integral part of garments. It's a versatile artisan craft with limitless possibilities.
